Today we lost a great in the world of Comedy. Bea Arthur, one broad who knew how to entertain.

Some highlighs from her career are:

1964 – Won the Tony for portraying Vera Charles to Angela Landsbury’s Auntie Mame
1972 – Stared as Maude Findlay in the series Maude, which one of the most controversial episode was when Maude got an abortion.
1977 – Won Emmy for Best Performance in a Comedy series, and also won several Golden Globes
1978 – Stared in the Star Wars Christmas special, with a dance with Gredo
1985 – Stared in Golden Girls, which will prob be one of her most remembered roles and Dorothy Zbornak, along with Estelle Getty, Rue McClanahan, and Betty White.
2002 – Bea Arthur on Broadway: Just Between Friends, a collection of stories and songs (with musician Billy Goldenberg) based on her life and career. The show was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event

Here is the Muppet, finally! he’s been bad, he fell off the top of the Armoire and now is being punished. But like his owner, he’s moody and kinda bitter, yes I’m a proud parent! Where have I been?

Well, that’s a good question, I’ve been under a rock. At times I havent’ been in the mood to podcast. Doint it alone is not fun at times, but I have done some different things, like the train wreck show! That was fun to do but I didn’t think it was too funny but I was prooved wrong by a few folks, so I may plan more shows like it. I hopefully will be in a better mood, but being home and bored sucks. I am looking for a new job but have had not luck finding it. The Unemployment rate is over 7 percent here and doesn’t show signs of improving. Although I have had a job offer of a pool boy! LOL if I lived closer I’d take them up on it! But oh well.

I have a new headset and the italk is doing some great sounds. I have a few things planned and hopefully you’ll like it. Email me folks and leave me voice mails! Oh Yeah tomorrow i need to do the Muppet Video Cast since I”m a lazy bastard and haven’t done it yet.

TS Episode 65 Late NIght Rambling Podcast

What happens when a podcaster is laid off from work, bored and up later. Well you get this, lovely (and I”m being generous) podcast. Where I ramble on about a lot of nothing and there is no real direction. I talk about my layoff, how bored I am, some entertainment (new season, pending actors strike, movies), Then I talk about technology and itunes, then I talk politics, which is rare, but Palin is a nut job.

Then back to more ramblings about what ever and finally it comes to an end. I have a Friday F*ck up for the BFO to send him from this one. I deleted two before I remembered! DOH!

iTunes Trouble is Fixed

Hey there, over the past few days, you couldn’t download via iTunes or by the web site. I checked the settings and something was off. I don’t know if I did it, which probably is the case, or if it was something that just went crazy. But download and enjoy!

First Day of Unemployment

Ok, so unemployment is boring. And big time. What ever happened to Lifetime running good sit com reruns? Well daytime TV Sucks ass. If that’s not reason enough to get new job I don’t know what is. I”m going to enjoy this week and get started next week. But I will keep you posted on development.

I’m a Genius!

Ok, first off I have to smack Apple for crashing my computer again, which it always does when I have to upgrade QuickTime. But the next day I update to the new iTunes 8 and want to see the new Genius feature. So it’s installed and I’m checking out the new layout, which I love, especially for podcasts, and the Genius feature was down. Which I was bumed about. But later around 11 PM EST, it was up and I clicked George Michael “Amazing” and it gave me a really good play list. I was really impressed.

But before I start, once you have the new iTunes in you have to opt in to the Genius feature. It collects and sends all the information about your library to iTunes and uses that to create the play lists and runs it through some algorythm.

But I am enjoying the new iTunes, last time with iTunes 7 I couldn’t play some of my videos but I think they have done something right.
